About wardrobe with dressing table
Combining the dressing table into the wardrobe run saves floor area, which is the main reason it is popular in Mumbai bedrooms where every square foot is accounted for.
The detail that decides whether it gets used is light. A downlight in the ceiling above puts your face in its own shadow. What works is light at face height on both sides of the mirror, or a backlit mirror — and either needs a point planned before the unit is built.

Wardrobe with Dressing Table — questions
Where should the light go?
At face height, on both sides of the mirror, or behind the mirror as a backlight. A ceiling downlight above the mirror is the common default and it is the worst option — it lights the top of your head and leaves your face in shadow, which is exactly backwards for the task.
How much space does it add to the wardrobe run?
Typically 900 mm to 1,200 mm of the run converts to dressing table, plus 750 mm of clear floor in front for the stool. In a bedroom under 10 ft wide, that clearance is the constraint to check first.
Can it be closed off when not in use?
Yes — a shutter or a sliding panel over the mirror section keeps the bedroom reading as a bedroom. It adds cost and it is worth it in a room that doubles as a study or where the dressing area faces the bed.

Sliding Wardrobe
Sliding wardrobes fail at the track. Bottom-rolling systems collect dust and hair, and then they jam.
