Terrace Waterproofing in Mumbai
A terrace leak is rarely above the stain. Water travels sideways under a failed screed before it drops.

About terrace waterproofing
We establish first whether the existing system can be saved. Where it can, an overlay with proper junction detailing is the honest answer. Where decades of patch coatings have trapped moisture, we strip to sound slab, cut and fill cracks, form 75 mm coving, lay a reinforced membrane carried 300 mm up the parapet into a chased groove, and re-screed to fall.

Terrace Waterproofing — questions
How long does it take?
A 2,000 sq ft terrace rebuilt fully takes 12 to 18 working days including curing and the ponding test. An overlay on a sound substrate finishes in 4 to 6. The ponding test is 48 to 72 hours of that and is not something to compress.
Do the tiles have to come off?
Not if they are well bonded, the terrace drains and the leak is at junctions. If water is trapped underneath, they do — patching over trapped moisture fails. The survey settles it.

Roof Waterproofing
Different roof types fail in completely different ways, so the survey has to come before the specification.
