About office false ceiling
Commercial ceilings carry far more than residential ones — AC ducting and diffusers, sprinklers, smoke detectors, data cabling, lighting grids and sometimes a PA system. The surface is the last consideration, not the first.
The decision that matters is access. A grid ceiling gives you full access to the whole void at any time, which is why it remains standard for offices despite looking plainer. A gypsum ceiling looks better and makes every future services change a cutting job.

Office False Ceiling — questions
Grid or gypsum for an office?
Grid for open-plan areas and anywhere above which services run — full access, tiles lift out in seconds. Gypsum for reception, meeting rooms and cabins where appearance matters, with access panels at every valve, damper and junction. Most offices we do are a mix of both.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. Most of our commercial ceiling work runs as night or weekend shifts so the office stays operational. It costs more per day and takes fewer calendar days of disruption, which is usually the better trade for a working office.
Who coordinates the sprinklers and detectors?
We set out the grid against the services drawing before installation and coordinate positions with the fire and HVAC contractors. Doing it the other way round — ceiling first, services after — is what produces cut tiles and detectors sitting half over a grid line.
