Wall Mounted TV Unit Design
Before anything else, we find out what your wall is made of. Half of Mumbai's living room walls will not hold what gets mounted on them.

About wall mounted tv unit
Wall mounting is the right choice in a small living room — it clears the floor entirely and the room reads larger for it.
It also puts the entire load into one plane of wall. In flats built from the 1990s onwards, internal walls are frequently 4-inch brick, block or even gypsum partition. A television bracket plus a loaded console on that, cycling with every door slam, works until it does not.

Wall Mounted TV Unit — questions
How do I know if my wall can take it?
Tap it. A solid RCC or 9-inch brick wall gives a dull, dense sound; a partition sounds hollow. That is a rough test — we drill-test at the site visit, which is conclusive. It is worth doing before you buy a bracket, because the bracket type depends entirely on the answer.
Can a TV be mounted on a gypsum partition?
Not directly into the board. It needs a backing plate spanning to the studs or to the structure behind. This is routine to do and it has to be planned, because once the board is finished, adding backing means opening it up.
Should the cables run inside the wall?
Inside a conduit, yes — chased in before the panel or the paint. Running them inside the wall without conduit means any future cable change requires breaking the wall again. The conduit costs almost nothing at first fix.
