Rewiring — questions
How do I know if I need rewiring?
Three signs: aluminium rather than copper wiring, which in Mumbai usually means pre-1995 construction; MCBs tripping when two appliances run together; and any switch plate warm to the touch. We identify the wire material at the site visit.
Does rewiring mean breaking all the walls?
Not always. Where existing conduit is intact and large enough, new wire can be drawn through without chasing. We check what is there during the survey and tell you honestly how much will need opening.
